If you only have a lot number for your place, you should contact the county assessor for a 'physical address' and then ask to be added to the 'e-911 system.'  It's hard to find houses out here.  Please make it easier for emergency responders to find you and shave off time for help to arrive.  Consider putting a reflective house number sign at the beginning of your driveway at the road.

PHI Cares - Medivac Helicopter

The reality is that for serious medical problems, patients are flown to ABQ (heart attacks and strokes, for example).  Socorro is a basic hospital and so more complicated cases are then sent to ABQ anyways.  PHI provides a membership fee of $50/family/YEAR if you have insurance and about $100 if you have no insurance.  In that agreement, they will not come after you for any additional amount of money should they transport you. The cost to ABQ is about $40,000 to $70,000.

Mavis and/or Laura work in the office.  Sam & Judith deliver our mail.
Mail is delivered starting at 10-10:15 am, Monday, Wednesday & Friday until about 10:30am-10:45am at the mailbox cluster at Greens Gap and Frontier Trail.  There is a scruffy but friendly bunch of people who hang out there each day from about 9:45 am until mail is finished. Don't be intimidated to say hello and introduce yourself to a friendly group.
